Courtney giving a thumbs up--she is feeling much better.

Just a quick update for those of you lacking any drama in your lives....Courtney has been having heart trouble the last few years, and we have been through a couple of cardiologists in our adventure to try and fix what is wrong, so FINALLY they implanted a Reveal DX monitor last Wednesday. They failed to realize how itty bitty and petite she was, so it was hard for them to create a pocket in her chest cavity to place the monitor. She is still very sore and tender, but looks great and goes back to work tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for your phone calls, prayers and nice thoughts. We needed them. She will wear this for up to two years and hopefully it will be able to let the doctors know what her heart is doing when it starts racing so they can make the corrections they need to so we can get her back to normal--if there is such a thing as a "normal" Brewster.

The Wedding

Tiffany and Adam were married on August 31st, 2008. It was beautiful and the weather totally co-operated by raining at just the right time, and being sunny at just the right time. Adam is wonderful and we feel very blessed to have him as a member of our family and a daddy to Ella. Tiffany was given a very small window of time to try and get pregnant while her Lupus was in remission, and Adam pulled through like a champ--the baby is due the end of Feb., first part of March. Ella is thrilled. We don' t know what it is yet, so Ella calls it "Himmer", because it is a Him or a Her. We have added a few pictures from the wedding and the gatherings we had the two nights before the big day.
It was so relaxing and wonderful. Tif looked beautiful, everyone had fun and behaved, no one lost an eye, and we had great food.

Wedding Weekend

Well, it is unanimous, I have the best family in the world. Out of all of my nine siblings, everyone was able to make it for the wedding but my brother Bryan and his family, and my sister Natalie and her family. They were incredibly missed, but we all understand how hard it is to juggle life and family and all the joyous chaos that entails. We were thrilled that both of my Grandma's were able to come and see where we live for the first time. Of course, Grandma Max also got to see the local hospital when she came down with a virus, but that just meant we got to visit with her an extra day. It was like a huge family reunion. Our friends the Sahlmans came from California, and having so many of our loved ones here, and getting to know Adam's family better just made it a wonderful weekend.
